City of Vernon is seeking a Detention Guard to ensure the safety and welfare of prisoners in custody while following all security protocols. The role reports to the on-duty RCMP Watch Commander and supports booking, fingerprinting, and court-related documentation.
Responsibilities include maintaining logs, handling meals and medications, and liaising with Sheriff’s and Corrections as needed. The position requires up to six months in related security work and pertinent certifications.
