Are you passionate about pets, social media, and customer service?

Bosley’s by Pet Valu in Langley is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist + Animal Care Expert (ACE) to join our team.

This is a dual-role position. You will work as an Animal Care Expert on the sales floor while also being responsible for helping manage and grow our local Instagram and TikTok presence.

This is not a remote or social-media-only position. You will be an active member of the in-store team and will regularly work with customers, pets, products, and coworkers.

Weekend availability is mandatory.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of this position, you will have responsibilities in both social media/digital marketing and regular in-store ACE duties.

DIGITAL MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA RESPONSIBILITIES

- Create, film, and edit Instagram Reels, Stories, posts, and TikTok videos
- Capture in-store content featuring pets, products, promotions, staff, and events
- Help plan and maintain a consistent social media posting schedule
- Create promotional graphics and content using Canva
- Promote sales, events, new products, seasonal campaigns, and community initiatives
- Follow social media trends and adapt relevant trends for the store
- Help develop creative content ideas to increase local awareness and engagement
- Respond professionally to comments and messages
- Track basic social media performance such as views, reach, engagement, and follower growth
- Work with store management on promotions and marketing ideas
- Help build and maintain a strong local online presence for our Langley store

You should be comfortable filming content in-store and being on camera when needed.

ANIMAL CARE EXPERT (ACE)



RESPONSIBILITIES

- Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
- Help customers find the best products for their pets
- Learn about pet food, treats, toys, supplements, grooming products, and other pet-care products
- Provide product recommendations based on customer needs
- Operate the POS system and process transactions accurately
- Handle cash and payments responsibly
- Answer customer phone inquiries professionally
- Stock, organize, and merchandise products
- Keep the store clean, organized, and well maintained
- Help receive and put away incoming inventory
- Support store promotions and events
- Assist with pet nail trims if experienced or willing to learn
- Work collaboratively with management and other team members
- Complete regular ACE and store duties as required

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience creating content for Instagram and TikTok
- Social media management or content creation experience preferred
- Experience using Canva or similar design tools
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable filming and editing short-form video content
- Creative and familiar with current social media trends
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Comfortable working around dogs, cats, and other pets
- Willing to learn about pet nutrition, products, and animal care
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team




- Retail or pet-industry experience is an asset
- POS and cash-handling experience is an asset
- Nail trimming or grooming experience is an asset but not required

AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS

Weekend availability is mandatory.

- Saturdays
- Sundays
- Weekdays
- Evenings
- Holidays

This position is 100% in-person at our Langley, BC location.
