Adecco is currently hiring a Transportation Dispatcher for a full-time permanent position in Carp, ON. This opportunity is ideal for a highly organized and customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating logistics and driver operations to ensure efficient transportation services. You will play a key role in communicating with drivers, responding to operational changes, and ensuring all transportation services are delivered efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Split shift aligned with school transportation hours (approximately 6:30 AM - 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM)
Contract: Permanent | Full-time
Arrange routes and allocate driver resources to ensure contracted routes are covered during driver illness or holidays.
Handle customer service calls, recurring ride requests, and special event coordination.
Monitor all active runs and drivers to ensure routes remain on schedule and students are transported safely.




Answer phones and manage fax and email correspondence in a qualified and courteous manner.
Previous dispatch experience within the transportation or service industry or related education.
Strong ability to multitask and prioritize several urgent tasks simultaneously.
Ability to follow established procedures and operational guidelines to meet corporate and legal obligations.
Strong customer service experience.
Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
General understanding of the transportation industry.
Ability to provide a clean criminal record check.
Strong geographic knowledge of the City of Ottawa and surrounding areas, with familiarity with local schools considered an asset.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
