Chinook Feeders 2024 Ltd. is a cattle feedlot operation committed to providing high standards of animal care, employee safety, productivity, and operational excellence.

We are seeking dependable and hardworking Feedlot Laborers / Livestock Attendants to support the daily operations of our feedlot.

Position Overview The Feedlot Laborer / Livestock Attendant plays an important role in the daily care, monitoring, feeding, and handling of cattle.

The successful candidate will work as part of the livestock team to ensure cattle are properly cared for and handled safely and humanely.

Key Responsibilities

● Monitor cattle health and behavior and report signs of illness or injury.

● Assist with sorting, processing, handling, and moving cattle.

● Feed and water cattle according to established procedures.

● Assist with cattle receiving, shipping, and processing.

● Maintain clean and organized pens and working areas.

● Follow established biosecurity procedures.

● Assist with vaccinations and medications under appropriate supervision.

● Maintain accurate livestock and treatment records.

● Operate tractors, loaders, and other feedlot equipment as required.

● Perform general feedlot maintenance and labor duties.

● Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.

● Maintain high standards of animal welfare.

● Work cooperatively with livestock staff,



management, and other team members.

Qualifications

● Previous experience working with cattle or livestock is an asset.

● Agricultural or feedlot experience is considered an asset.

● Strong interest in animal care and welfare.

● Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

● Physically capable of performing demanding labor duties and lifting up to 50 lbs.

● Strong attention to detail.

● Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.

● Valid driver's license is an asset.

● Willing to train the right candidate.

Schedule

● Full-time, permanent position.

● Day shift.

● Early morning starts may be required.

● Weekend and holiday work as required.

● Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

● Dust, mud, and other outdoor working conditions.
