The Job: Equipment Maintenance, Repair and Safety

- Inspect, maintain, diagnose and repair heavy-duty vehicles, machinery and equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and component replacements in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems using appropriate diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
- Maintain accurate inspection, maintenance and repair records.
- Coordinate specialized repairs and parts requirements with supervisors, operators and external vendors.
- Identify and report equipment deficiencies,



safety concerns and maintenance requirements.
- Use tools, equipment and personal protective equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized and properly equipped work area while supporting a strong safety culture across shop, yard and field operations.

What Skills and Training Do You Need?

- Journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician certification.
- 5+ years’ experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.

- Vacuum Truck experience is an asset.
- Minimum Class 5 Driver’s License required with clean abstract.
- Excellent safety record and a commitment to safe work practices.
- Willingness to provide references, consent to a criminal record check and complete pre-employment alcohol & drug testing.
- Must be able to work out of town on a rotational schedule.
