Dobson Contracting LTD is currently looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in operating equipment safely, working as part of a team, and helping keep a busy job site running efficiently. For the right person, this role also offers opportunities to develop new skills, take on additional responsibilities and grow into future positions within the organization.This position is rotational (4 weeks on, 2 weeks off) and based in remote project locations across Northern Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, dozers, haul trucks, skid steer, cement trucks, crusher.
- Load, move, stockpile and handle bulk materials as required.
- Perform work related to water and sewer installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Assist with aggregate crushing operations, including loading and feeding equipment.
- Support freight and material handling operations.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures while working in remote environments.
- Work cooperatively with other members of the team to meet daily operational requirements.

Qualifications and What you bring:





- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience operating heavy equipment(front end loader, skid steer, excavator, dozer, haul truck etc.) in construction or similar industries. Mainline experience is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated experience with water/sewer infrastructure, crushing operations, and freight handling.
- Valid driver’s license required. Heavy Equipment certificate and AZ license preferred.
- The ability to work safely and responsibly around heavy equipment, trucks, construction activity and bulk materials.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and in remote, camp-based settings.
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
