Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Controller for a 6-month contract in downtown Toronto, available for two days a week in-office. Engage in critical financial leadership and reporting tasks.

In your role as Controller, you will spearhead the financial reporting process, ensuring compliance with current standards and regulations. Collaborate with various teams to disseminate financial data accurately and timely, while also advising on new accounting policies. Your leadership will be key in directing audits and engaging with external auditors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead preparation of external financial reports
• Issue reporting schedules and manage team inputs
• Draft MD&A; disclosures and coordinate with executives
• Support accounting aspects of M&A; activities
• Coordinate with auditors for seamless audits

Requirements:
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Expertise in accounting standards and policies
• Leadership experience in financial settings
• Robust communication and analytical abilities
• Must be a resident of Ontario
