In this full time Associate Physician position, you will work under the guidance of a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, delivering crucial assessments in the Emergency Department and Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Emergency Unit. Your role will enhance service quality and patient outcomes in a supportive mental health network. Active collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and ongoing education for medical learners will be key aspects of your role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and safety plans
• Participate in Emergency Department mental health rounds




• Complete patient referrals to community resources
• Communicate effectively with families and care teams
• Engage in interdisciplinary teaching and professional development

Requirements:
• Valid medical degree from a recognized institution
• Completed apprenticeship in Psychiatry or related fields
• Meeting CPSBC licensure requirements for Associate Physicians
• Dedication to addressing biases in healthcare practices
• Knowledge of health equity issues influencing service delivery
