Position Details: Instrumentation Technician Location: Calgary, AB Openings: 1 Salary Range: Description: Our client is looking for an energetic, highly motivated, andresourceful individual. As a member of our team, you will beresponsible for providing outstanding service and support.

Responsibilities Include

- Commission and maintain process control and measurementinstrumentation on existing and new field equipment andprocesses (transmitters, controllers, analyzers, controlvalves, etc.) - Perform maintenance work, field validation and basicinstrument troubleshooting and modification - Use schematics and drawings related to Instrumentation.
- Calibrate and service indicating and recording instruments - Responsible for housekeeping, work area, parts, andequipment - Complete routine paperwork as required - Address safety issues - Occasionally performs work in other trade areas - Has required experience to use electrical tools, measuring,and testing equipment - Work from complex wiring drawings, codebooks, and similardocuments Utility Sector:
- Provide technical support to clients and utility meterreading service administrators.
- Recognizes the importance of working under safety practicesthat are required to prevent physical injuries.




- Obtains and analyzes electronic readings of utilitymeters.
- Writes notes of the findings encountered on the site.
- Gathers the required information to fill out thespecifications of meters on the installation worksheet andcommissioning spreadsheet.
- Identifies and reports hazardous conditions to inspectorsand supervisors.
- Records specific data on the installation worksheet read itby the inspector as well as the gathered data during thecommissioning procedure.
- Names and files the installation records, electronicreadings and the taken pictures.
- Revises and compares in detail the documentation andpictures obtained on the job site.
- Sends documentation and taken evidence (pictures andinstallation records) to Operations Manager andsupervisors.

Qualifications / Experience.

- Minimum 1 year experience in metering, building automation,electrical or mechanical systems or industrial instrumentation - Driver’s License - Highly skilled in a Windows Office setting, knowledge ofExcel, Word, Outlook, a must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must befluent in English
