Utility Field Service Electrician Apprentice, Commercial Energy Service This is a full time job with Tesla in Calgary, Alberta. You will work with a Licensed Electrician. Your task is to help keep commercial and utility energy storage sites running safely.
You will assist with electrical work such as power distribution, transformers, lighting, inverters, batteries, and other related gear. You will also join the Utility Team. That team does scheduled checks, handles electrical troubleshooting, reads schematics and blueprints, and helps keep battery energy storage systems working as expected.

Job Description This is a full time Utility Field Service Electrician Apprentice role.
It sits in Tesla’s Energy Commercial Operations Team.
In this job, you help Licensed Electricians run and maintain battery energy storage systems.
These systems are for commercial sites and utility use.
You may also support work on power distribution gear, transformers, lighting systems, inverters, and battery units.




You will carry out preventive upkeep.
You will also help check and fix electrical parts when issues come up.
You will read electrical schematics and blueprints.
You will finish assigned items while following Tesla safety rules and work standards.
Responsibilities Use schematics, blueprints, manuals, and diagrams to complete work.
Support preventive maintenance on battery energy storage systems.
Support the Utility Team with daily operations and maintenance tasks.
Complete assigned tasks on time.
Share updates and feedback on work, equipment, and ongoing activities.
Keep a steady attitude and strong work habits while helping Tesla’s mission.
Requirements You must be a registered 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician Apprentice.
Your registration must match the training authority for the province and the posted opening.
You should know basic electrical theory and Ohm’s Law.
2 years working in electrical roles, doing electrical equipment setup.
Used power tools, test tools, measuring devices, and power construction equipment.
Can go to several job sites in one day.
May need trips up to two weeks, sometimes with short notice.
Can lift 50 pounds or more often.
Has a government issued ID that allows domestic flights and/or entry to certain federal buildings.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
