Role description:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team and drive the efficiency of our logistics operations. In this role, you will support logistics operations, with a focus on Asia-origin container flow, Canadian distribution, 3PL coordination, freight cost tracking, shipment visibility, and communication between North America and Mandarin-speaking teams. Team members collaborate across operations, supply chain, and customer service to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

This role will work directly with the Director of Logistics and will support day-to-day execution, reporting, and key stakeholder follow-up.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate Asia-to-Canada shipment updates, container status, documentation, and loading information with overseas teams.
- Communicate with Mandarin-speaking internal teams, suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, and 3PL partners.
- Coordinate transportation logistics using transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure timely deliveries.
- Oversee freight arrangements with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and manage related documentation for shipments.
- Assist with rate requests, lane pricing, landed-cost analysis, and freight cost comparison by port, province, customer, and cube.
- Maintain logistics trackers, rate files, shipment reports, and operational dashboards.
- Escalate shipment delays,



documentation issues, service failures, claims, and cost concerns.
- Work cross-functionally with logistics, customer service, finance, IT, inventory, sales, customs, carriers, 3PLs, and overseas teams.

Required Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, freight forwarding, import/export, or distribution.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin, written and spoken.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, procurement, sourcing, and demand planning.
- Familiarity with warehouse management system (WMS), and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data organization.
- Experience working with carriers, freight forwarders, 3PLs, warehouses, or overseas suppliers.
- Strong attention to detail, follow-up discipline, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working with shipment data, rate sheets, invoices, and operational reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with ocean freight, drayage, rail, truckload, LTL, final mile, or furniture distribution.
- Experience with ERP/TMS systems, or carrier/3PL portals.
- Understanding of commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, customs handoffs, and container tracking.
- Experience supporting freight cost analysis, landed-cost models, or logistics reporting.
