About the role Under the direction of the Lead Hand, the Production Worker supports the manufacturing of steel and wood doors and frames by performing a variety of production and finishing tasks. This role includes operating machinery, assembling components, and carrying out activities such as spraying, drilling, grinding, and general cleaning to ensure an efficient production process.
This is a new position being staffed with two (4) openings.
Candidates must be available to work onsite five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
What you'll do
Drilling and grinding metal pieces
Applying glue to various materials using a spray gun
Assisting with moving items around the factory
Cleaning work area and tools
Complying with safety and other factory procedures
Work collaboratively and safely with colleagues in cross-functional roles and departments for related projects.
Other related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Proficient in using small hand and power tools such as drill, grinder, spray gun,
Proficient in using measuring instruments
Be able to work independently and as part of a team
Be in positive physical shape with ability to lift loads and wear a respirator (specific for some tasks)
Excellent track record of being punctual, reliable, dependable, and trustworthy
Must be able to speak and write in English
Work Condition
Working in a manufacturing environment daily
Extensive periods of standing
Ability to complete crane/hoist training.
Remain alert for extended periods, paying keen attention to detail
Ability to lift 23 kilograms (50 lbs)
Must be able to wear standard PPE in a manufacturing plant
