Oracle DB Manual & Automation Tester

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Tester with strong expertise in manual and automation testing, Oracle SQL, database validation, backend/API testing, and data reconciliation. The candidate will support enterprise banking applications and data platforms in an Agile workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform end-to-end Oracle database testing covering tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, packages, and data validation.
- Develop complex Oracle SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, transformation, and business-rule testing.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, UAT, and database testing.
- Perform ETL and source-to-target data validation.
- Create and maintain database test cases, test scripts, and automation frameworks.
- Automate database/API test scenarios using Selenium, Java/Python, REST Assured, Postman, or Tosca.
- Perform backend and API testing across upstream and downstream systems.
- Identify defects, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate resolution with development teams.
- Integrate automation testing with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps,



or similar tools.
- Collaborate with BAs, Developers, Data Engineers, and QA teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Mandatory Skills
- 7 years of QA/testing experience with strong Oracle Database Testing expertise.
- Strong hands-on Oracle SQL and database validation skills.
- Expertise in tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, joins, complex queries, and data reconciliation.
- Solid experience in both Manual and Automation Testing.
- Hands-on API and backend testing experience.
- Experience with Selenium, Java/Python, Tosca, REST Assured, or Postman.
- Strong knowledge of STLC, SDLC, defect lifecycle, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
- Banking/Financial Services experience, preferably with Canadian banking clients.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Good to Have
- ETL/Data Warehouse Testing experience.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux, Jenkins, Git, Jira, and CI/CD.
- Experience with Oracle data migration and reconciliation testing.
- Experience testing large-scale enterprise banking applications.
