Course description

Radicalization, Violent Extremism Trauma and Family and community resilience.

The course will explore psychological and relational consequences of radicalized narratives, interpersonal violence and traumatic experiences, as well as the role of mental health and family systems in prevention and recovery. On a practical basis, the course will discuss intervention models that connect mental health, social services, community organizations, and public safety in fostering family and community resilience and cohesion.

Required experience and qualifications:

- Holds an MA or a PhD diploma in a field of study related to human sciences (e.g.



psychology, counselling, psychotherapy, sociology etc.)
- Teaching experience at the BA, or MA level
- Clinical, or community intervention experience is considered an asset
- Familiarity with the role of spirituality in interpersonal relationships
- Passive proficiency in the second official language
