IT Support Specialist

Location: Caledon, ON or Brantford, ON

Schedule: Full time | 100% Onsite

Openings: 2 — One position in Caledon and one in Brantford

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support at one of our Ontario locations. We have two separate openings — one in Caledon and one in Brantford. Candidates only need to be able to commute to one location.

This is not a traditional ticket-heavy help desk position. You will be the primary IT resource onsite at your assigned location, so we're looking for someone smart, resourceful, independent, and comfortable taking ownership of technical issues.

The role is approximately 80% hands-on IT support and 20% networking.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary onsite IT support resource for the facility
Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, peripherals, and other workplace technology
Support Windows settings and Microsoft 365
Install, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot hardware and software
Support warehouse/operational technology, including scanners and connected devices
Troubleshoot network connectivity, Wi-Fi, switches, patch panels, and cabling

Assist with basic network administration and infrastructure support
Handle employee onboarding/offboarding and device provisioning
Maintain hardware, software, asset, and licensing inventory
Coordinate with remote IT teams and third-party vendors when necessary
Follow IT security and network best practices
Take ownership of onsite issues and troubleshoot independently before escalating

Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on IT support experience preferred
Strong Windows and Microsoft 365 troubleshooting experience
Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripherals
Working knowledge of networking, connectivity, switches, and cabling
Comfortable working independently as the primary IT person onsite
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Resourceful, ambitious, and willing to figure things out
Experience in an MSP, warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or field support setting is highly preferred
Experience supporting warehouse scanners or similar operational equipment is a strong plus
CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco, or similar certifications are helpful but not required
