As a Women's Advocate, you'll work to provide essential services through a feminist framework. Collaborate with a team to deliver support in crisis intervention, risk assessments, and safety planning, ensuring an effective path to independence for residents. A commitment to addressing issues of violence and oppression is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as an advocate for women and children
Provide crisis intervention via phone and in-person
Conduct intakes, assessments, and safety planning
Assist with housing applications and resources
Coordinate program activities for women’s empowerment
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.G., BSW)
2+ years in counseling and group work
Knowledge of trauma, woman abuse, and violence prevention
Robust communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver’s license and liability insurance
