About Our Client Our client, located near Fairview Mall(2-4 days in office), is an exciting & dynamic utilities company and looking for a Senior Manager, Tax to join their team.
Essential Tasks The Senior Manager, Tax will be leading the entire Tax team which includes Overall management of the tax compliance process (Canadian, and US) for corporations, trust, and partnerships, that are prepared by the Big 4 accounting firms
Correspondence with CRA, Revenue Quebec, IRS, and other tax authorities as a main point of contact
Review select HST/GST/QST compliance of corporate entities and development Annual filings for Selected Listed Financial Institution HST/GST/QST
Work with finance team supporting with preparing tax projections
Research and analyze tax matters and inquiries related to tax planning strategies for new projects
Design and recommend technology and process Design, document, and implement internal controls and processes where needed
Keep up-to-date of tax laws and regulations, and update stakeholders of key changes
Support or/and review consolidated annual tax provisions
Support with the annual budget and strategic corporate plan for the tax forecasting
Manage the tax examinations




Perform all other tasks that will help complete the project
Qualifications 6+ years of progressive Canadian tax experience in provisions, international tax, and tax planning with complex corporations
2+ years experience working in a medium to large size public accounting firm
CPA designated
In-Depth or M-Tax completed Canadian and Global tax experience is an asset
Prior management experience
Valuable initiative, attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
