About the Role

We're looking for a self-directed visual storyteller with solid ideas and follow-through to turn Shaun's Zen's day-to-day work and brand story into photo and video content. If you have a sharp eye for aesthetics, take real ownership of your work, and have a genuine interest in health and wellness, this role gives you real room to run with it.

The Role

Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Type: 1-year part-time contract

Location: Hybrid (on-site shooting required at the clinic or other locations; editing and post-production can be done remotely)

Schedule: 3 days/week, 8 hours/day (24 hours/week total)

Pay & Compensation

Pay: $26–32/hour, depending on skills, portfolio, and experience

Role-Specific Perks: Equipment and software subscriptions provided by the clinic

Requirements

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English
- No fixed years of experience required. We place more weight on your portfolio, particularly the type and quality of video/photo work you've shot and edited
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Duties & Responsibilities

- Shoot photo and video on-site for the clinic's daily operations, services, and select workshops
- Handle lighting, filming, and editing for our podcast, covering both long-form episodes and short-form clips




- Provide professional photography, including lighting, composition, and photo editing/retouching
- Record and edit video content using both camera and phone
- Deliver high-quality work in both photo and video — proficiency across both formats is required
- Produce content ready for use on our website and social media (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)
- Help plan shot lists and content direction in line with our brand and marketing needs

What You Bring

- A strong eye for visual quality and brand aesthetic
- Self-directed and able to take an idea from planning through final delivery
- Detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality work
- Curious, proactive, and always looking to learn and improve
- A strong portfolio matters more to us than years of experience

Good to Have

- An interest in or experience working in the health/wellness industry (TCM, wellness, healthy living)
- A personal interest in health and wellness
- Experience shooting and editing short-form video (Reels, TikTok, etc.)

Hiring Process

Interview: Required

Portfolio: Required. We're especially interested in the style and quality of the video and photo work you've shot and edited.
