Project Manager, Land Development

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Our client is a growing construction and land development company looking for a Project Manager to join their team.

This is a unique opportunity for a project management qualified who is interested in building a career in real estate and land development. The focus of the role is on coordinating the planning, approvals, consultants and overall development process rather than managing day-to-day construction activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and a variety of external consultants and stakeholders to help move development projects from the early planning stages through to construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multiple land development projects and initiatives

- Coordinate architects, engineers, planners, surveyors, landscape architects and other consultants
- Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables and key milestones
- Coordinate development applications, municipal approvals and planning requirements
- Work with municipalities, consultants, landowners, contractors and internal stakeholders
- Organize project documentation and ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
- Monitor project risks, issues and dependencies and coordinate solutions
- Participate in project and stakeholder meetings
- Assist with evaluating new land and development opportunities




- Support the early planning and feasibility stages of potential developments
- Coordinate the transition of approved development projects into the construction phase
- Provide regular project updates and recommendations to senior leadership

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of progressive project management experience
- PMP designation or strong knowledge of PMP project management principles is preferred
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills
- Experience managing schedules, budgets, documentation and multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Genuine interest in real estate, land development and development processes
- Comfortable working with municipalities, consultants and external stakeholders
- Construction, engineering, planning or real estate experience is an asset
- Self-motivated and interested in taking on increasing responsibility as the company grows
