Property Accountant

Calgary, Alberta THE COMPANY

Our client, a third-party Property and Asset Management company, is looking to add a Property Accountant to their team. In this role you will be joining a team of accounting professionals that are responsible for the financial management of approximately 50 office, industrial and retail properties. Working together, the accounting team provides accurate and timely information for both our internal teams and our clients.

This is an Entrepreneurial group that are known for their straightforward approach and attention to detail. They have grown quickly since their inception and have worked hard to keep a very open and team-oriented work culture.

THE ROLE

This position will interact with coworkers of all levels throughout the company. We are looking for someone with strong technical commercial real estate accounting knowledge and excellent communication skills. Proficiency with Office and Excel is a must-have.

WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE

- Full Cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties,



including variance analysis and
- reporting
- Annual budgeting and year-end CAM recoveries
- Cash management, bank reconciliations and client distribution calculations
- Prepare and file GST filings, annual CAM Audit and Financial year-end audit working
- papers
- Tenant and lease setups
- Perform ancillary administrative duties such as posting bank receipts, filing accounting
- records
