A DAY IN THE LIFE

You’re not just managing accounts - you’re making moves.

Reporting directly to our Senior Vice President and Vice President, you’ll be at the centre of client strategy, media relations, and day-to-day execution. You’ll own client relationships, spot the opportunities others miss, and turn smart thinking into work that gets people talking.

From building relationships with local and national media and securing meaningful coverage, to developing PR strategies, activating influencers, and bringing new ideas to the table, you’ll have a hand in every part of the work. You’ll also support Nine Point’s social presence, contribute to new business, oversee reporting and account administration, and help keep our clients—and our team—moving forward.





As a senior member of the Nine Point team, you’ll also mentor junior talent, bring a strategic POV to the room, and lead by example. Think equal parts strategist, connector, executor, and opportunity-spotter—with the instincts to know when to push the idea further.

Bottom line: you’ll help turn brands into stories, stories into influence, and influence into impact.

A day in your life will involve a little bit of everything, including:

- Lead the team. Manage, mentor, and motivate Account Coordinators and Interns, helping them grow while keeping the work moving forward.

- Make media moves. Proactively spot, pitch, and secure PR and media opportunities, build meaningful media relationships, and identify the right moments to put our clients in the conversation.

- Own the work. Take the lead on client accounts and bring strategies to life at a high level—from PR and media relations to influencer campaigns and beyond.

- Be the client champion. Build trusted relationships, bring energy and ideas to client meetings, and stay one step ahead of what clients need.

- Stay ahead of the curve. Spearhead PR, influencer, and social projects while keeping a close eye on what’s next—from emerging trends and platforms to new ways brands can show up and stand out.

- Keep things moving. Partner closely with our SVP and VP on agency priorities, special projects, current ideas, and whatever else comes across the desk.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Creative Writing, or other relevant discipline.
- 3+ years of agency and/or PR experience in addition to 1+ years of experience in a managerial role.
- Computer, tech and AI savvy with advanced experience with Apple computers and Google Suite applications.




- Your exceptional written and verbal communication skills set you apart from other candidates.
- Unmatched copywriting and editing skills (enhanced by your keen eye for detail!).
- An eye for aesthetics with regard to social media, digital marketing, and other visual displays – you instinctively know what works and what doesn’t.
- The ability to multitask and take initiative in a fast-paced environment will allow you to truly thrive in this role!

NICE TO HAVES

- Experience working with media contacts across Canada, with established contacts and relationships with media, creators, KOL’s and industry connections.
- Experience working with influencers (paid/unpaid collaborations, pitching/outreach, negotiation).
- Experience using industry tools across email marketing, project management, design and social media such as Meltwater, Asana, Google Meet, Later, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Capcut, etc.
- Digital marketing skills (including social media content creation, paid campaigns, email marketing, and digital advertising).
- Experience with event management and creative strategy
