We are looking for a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our Before & After School Program team!

Schedule

This is a Monday-to-Friday split-shift position, approximately 25 hours per week.

- Morning: 6:45 AM–9:15 AM
- Afternoon: 2:55 PM–6:00 PM
- Paid Programming Time: 1 hour per week

In addition to your regular program hours, 1 paid hour per week is provided specifically for programming and documentation, giving you dedicated time to plan engaging activities and complete required program documentation.

Our program follows the school-year schedule and operates directly within the school.

Additional hours at our main childcare centre may be available for candidates interested in working more hours.

About the Role

As a Before & After School Educator, you will help create a fun, welcoming, and engaging environment where children can relax, play, explore their interests, and connect with their peers before and after their school day.

Our program serves children approximately 4–12 years of age.

Your Responsibilities

- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment
- Plan engaging, child-led activities based on children's interests
- Provide opportunities for art, dramatic play, STEM, literacy, sensory experiences, games, and physical activity
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Prepare and serve morning and afternoon snacks
- Maintain accurate attendance records and required program documentation




- Complete weekly emergent program planning
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging program space
- Communicate professionally with families, school staff, and fellow educators
- Follow childcare licensing requirements, health and safety procedures, and centre policies
- Work collaboratively with your program partner and childcare team

What We're Looking For
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
- Required immunization and health documentation
- Reliable and able to consistently work both portions of the split shift
- Positive, energetic, and comfortable taking initiative
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Someone who genuinely enjoys working with kindergarten and school-age children
