We are seeking a certified Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng.) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) – AI & Advanced Simulation to join our team and help us continue delivering top-tier solutions to our customers.
Position Overview We are seeking a forward-thinking, technically skilled Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng.) or
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) – AI & Advanced Simulation who bridges the gap between physical machine design and digital intelligence. In this role, you will execute traditional mechanical engineering workflows while deploying modern Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques to optimize designs, automate complex simulations, and implement smart, data-driven systems.
Whether you are fully licensed (P.Eng.) or a registered EIT working toward your designation, you will
play a critical role in advancing our engineering capabilities using physics-informed AI, predictive
analytics, and design automation.
Key Responsibilities Core Mechanical Design: Research, design, and analyze mechanical components, thermal systems,



and electromechanical assemblies. Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations.
AI & ML Integration: Develop, train, and deploy AI/ML models (such as neural networks or regression algorithms) to optimize mechanical performance, predict component failures, or automate heavy simulation pipelines.
Clean and evaluate structural, vibration, or thermal datasets fromphysical testing and operational environments to build predictive maintenance algorithms and“digital twins”.
Automation & Scripting: Write clean, reproducible code to build internal engineering tools, automate parametric CAD modeling, and link hardware sensors to data processing models.
Project Management & Compliance: Prepare engineering specifications, technical drawings, and progress updates. Ensure all designs strictly adhere to relevant Canadian/provincial building codes and safety regulations.
Documentation & Communication: Review, stamp, and take professional responsibility for engineering documents. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and technicians.
Required Skills & Qualifications Education & Qualified Status: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited university.
Registered (or explicitly eligible for immediate registration)



as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with a provincial engineering regulator (e.g., EGBC, APEGA, PEO).
Mechanical Engineering Skills: Solid foundation in core mechanical engineering concepts (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, stress analysis).
Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling platforms (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Revit, or AutoCAD).
Hands-on experience using industry simulation packages (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink).
AI & Computational Skills: Proficiency in Python and standard data science libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn).
Working knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) or experience leveraging Large Language Model (LLM) APIs for workflow automation.
Experience applying AI to physical systems—such as generative design, physics-informed neural networks (PINNs), or processing time-series data from IoT sensors.
Soft Skills: Strong technical communication skills to explain complex data science and AI concepts to traditional engineering stakeholders and clients.
Analytical mindset with a passion for process automation and continuous optimization.
