Job Description





The Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier will deliver mail, on an on-call basis, to various communities.

You’ll also be sorting, picking up, securing, and then delivering mail as part of the routine.

There’s more to it than just dropping letters, because you’ll be processing Canada Post products and services.

In addition, you’ll need to operate a vehicle safely, even with changing weather and busy traffic conditions.

Responsibilities

Learn and keep up your knowledge of local roads, customers , and delivery receptacles

Make sure mail stays safely secured while it’s in your possession

Process Items Delivered Bill (IDB) and other Canada Post products and services

Requirements

A driver’s abstract is required

Must have a valid permanent provincial Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence

Ability to work independently

Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely in different weather and traffic conditions

Applicants who live within 75 km of the Post Office are preferred
