Job Description Quebec City or Montreal | Leadership Position | Finance, Transformation and Performance Vortex Stratgie & recrutement is actively seeking a Director, Finance and Optimization for its client, an established and growing Quebec-based industry leader whose head office and primary accounting operations are located in Quebec City, with a corporate presence in Boucherville.

Reporting directly to the Vice President, Finance and Administration, the successful candidate will play a key role in the evolution of the finance function.

This individual will combine solid financial controllership expertise with a genuine ability to optimize and transform processes and lead teams.

The objective: to evolve the accounting function into a more modern, efficient, automated and decision-oriented function.

The role will be primarily office-based initially and requires a minimum of three days per week at the Quebec City office.

Candidates based in Montreal will be considered if they are willing to travel regularly to Quebec City; however, preference will be given to candidates already based in the Quebec City area.

Your Role and Responsibilities Oversee financial controllership activities and ensure the quality, reliability and compliance of financial information; Review all accounting processes to identify inefficiencies, risks and opportunities for improvement; Implement a modern vision of the accounting function (Finance 3.0), focused on automation, data quality and value creation; Identify, assess and implement technology tools and artificial intelligence solutions to improve the productivity of the finance team; Lead, engage, develop and coach a team of approximately 15 employees,



primarily based in Quebec City; Optimize work methods, internal controls, accounting cycles and performance monitoring mechanisms; Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, financial projections, performance indicators and management analyses; Present analyses, recommendations and action plans to the VP and senior management; Work closely with operations and other functions across the organization to support business decision-making; Actively participate in transformation projects and organizational changes related to the companys growth; Contribute to the evolution of accounting systems, management tools and the financial data environment.

Requirements More than 8 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial controllership, finance or optimization, ideally 10 years or more; CPA designation required, except for an exceptionally experienced accounting professional who can demonstrate equivalent technical and managerial expertise; Proven experience in team management, coaching and employee engagement; Strong command of the accounting cycle, financial controllership, financial analysis, and month-end and year-end processes; Hands-on experience in continuous improvement,
