Job Title: Solutions architect Job Type: Full Time Location: Toronto, ON Work Model: 4 Days/Week Primary Skills: Solution Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Distributed Systems & APIs Job Description We are seeking an experienced Solutions architect with strong expertise in designing scalable, secure, and reliable technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in distributed systems, APIs, cloud technologies, messaging systems, and event-driven architecture, along with the ability to work closely with business and technology stakeholders.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, contribute to product roadmaps, evaluate technology options, and ensure solutions meet business, security, reliability, and performance requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities Develop deep working knowledge of operational workflow and document management technologies, including current industry tools and emerging agentic solutions.

Design scalable and reliable solutions that align with business vision and support growing capabilities and user bases.

Partner with delivery teams to define and evolve technical roadmaps for products and platforms.

Ensure secure and responsible technology adoption by applying security best practices and addressing emerging threats.

Collaborate with product owners and delivery leads to understand business requirements and develop innovative technical solutions.

Analyze technology options and recommend solutions that meet business, safety, reliability, and performance standards.

Present proposed solutions to business stakeholders and governance forums for review, feedback, and approval.





Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout the solution lifecycle.

Develop architecture documentation, technical designs, and solution recommendations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of architectural solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications 6+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or proven strong technical leadership experience transitioning into an architecture role.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both business and technology stakeholders.

Ability and willingness to develop solid knowledge of the Operations business domain.

Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and evolving business strategies.

Strong expertise in designing distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-based solutions .

Knowledge of messaging systems and event-driven architecture .

Strong hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure using Azure, AWS, or GCP .

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution-design capabilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills Exposure to agentic AI architectures, LLM deployment patterns, or enterprise AI governance frameworks .

Experience with workflow and document management technologies.

Experience working within financial services or other complex regulated enterprise environments.

Knowledge of modern AI and cloud architecture patterns.

Experience with enterprise architecture governance and technology standards.
