TekStaff's Client has a current vacancy for a Specialty Developer

Duration : This is a 12 month contract located in Toronto/Ontario, Hybrid (4 days on site and one day work from home).

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

- Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Working on data migration project: Responsible for leading technical aspects of project from inception through to deployment. Participate in analysis and system design specification sessions. Documentation of design options and solutions according to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
- How much time is being spent in meetings: max 2.5h/week only if needed
- Who are they interacting with (internal/external): No interaction
- Will the contractor have access to any customer data? YES!

MUST HAVE SKILLS

1.) 7-10 years of technical knowledge or experience with Cloud environments (MS Azure) as well as experience with Data Management and Analytics.

2.) 7-10 years of strong technical knowledge and experience with: PySpark or 5 years with Python, SQL, Tableau and Power BI (required)

3.) 7-10 years of experience with analyzing large data sets, drawing insights and inferences, and communicating outputs.

5.) Experience with reading and comprehending data schemas, metadata, entity relationship diagrams and other technical documentation as well as well as writing documentation.

6.) 7-10 years of Databricks experience, Unity Catalog experience and Synapse experience.

SOFT SKILLS

1.) Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team setting.

2.) Strong soft skills- curious, adaptable to change, enthusiasm displayed and willingness to learn.





NICE-TO-HAVE

1.)Banking experience

2.) Experienced with Data/Text Mining, Optimization, Algorithm Development, Automation, Data Visualization, Simulation, developing dashboards

Summary: The main function of a Developer (Other Specialty) is to design, develop, and implement applications using in-demand languages and technologies (e.g.

- WebSphere, Informatica etc.) to support business requirements.

Job Responsibilities: � Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications � Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts � Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution � Assure quality security and compliance requirements are met for supported area � Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment � Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner Qualifications: � Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required � 8-10 years experience required � Development experience in needed language or technology (e.g.
