Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Developer to lead the ongoing development of the Ontario Agricultural Soil Information System (OASIS). This role involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying enterprise-grade software solutions using Java/JEE technologies, Angular, and Azure cloud services. The developer will contribute to both the core web application and field data applications, ensuring alignment with agricultural soil data management strategies and compliance standards. Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test, and deliver scalable full-stack software solutions using Java/JEE with Spring Boot, Angular, and RESTful APIs.
- Create detailed technical specifications and design application components.
- Perform application configuration, customization, and implementation activities.
- Manage release deployments and conduct unit testing within an Agile environment.
- Develop and deploy backend services and integrations on Microsoft Azure platform, including Azure App Service Plans.
- Ensure software solutions comply with security, privacy, and accessibility requirements, including AODA and OPS policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, business stakeholders, architects, and analysts to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Integrate ESRI ArcGIS and Survey123 platforms with custom RESTful API solutions.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance software quality and delivery efficiency.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 5 years of full-stack development experience with Java/JEE technologies and Spring Boot 2.5 or higher.
- Proficiency in Angular 2+,



HTML5, and RESTful API design and integration.
- Experience with relational databases such as Azure SQL Database, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Repos and Pipelines for CI/CD.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards, specifically AODA compliance.
- Strong solution design skills with ability to analyze business and technical requirements.
- Experience deploying and managing applications on Microsoft Azure, including App Service Plans.
- Understanding of secure software development practices and compliance with Ontario Public Service policies.
- At least 1 year of experience developing Java solutions targeting soil management systems.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS and Survey123 platforms and their RESTful API integrations.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and coding assistants.
- Proven success delivering Agile solutions and tailoring Agile methodologies to organizational needs.
- Robust verbal and written communication and facilitation skills.
- Experience working in public sector or government environments.

Special Considerations:
- Must comply with security, privacy, and accessibility standards including AODA and OPS policies.
- Hybrid work arrangement requiring onsite presence 2 days per week at Toronto or Guelph office.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Scheduling:
- Hybrid schedule with 2 days onsite per week and remaining work remote.
- Work hours aligned with standard business hours and project milestones.
