art Time Family Assistant and Household Manager

Location: Etobicoke, Toronto
Compensation: $33 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and proactive Family Assistant and Household Manager to help keep our home running smoothly.

This is more than a traditional cleaning position. We want someone who can take ownership of the day to day household responsibilities that build up during a busy week.

The right person will help keep the house clean and reset, stay on top of laundry and errands, assist with meal preparation, and provide occasional child care support.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative without always needing detailed instructions.

About Our Family

We are a professional family of four with two young children, a toddler and a primary school aged child.

We value reliability, kindness, discretion, initiative, and creating a calm and organized home environment.

Our children are in school or child care during most working hours, so the primary focus is household support, with occasional child care when needed.

Typical Schedule

Approximately 20 hours per week across four weekdays.

Monday: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Tuesday: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Thursday: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Friday: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

There can be some flexibility for the right person.

From time to time, we may ask for adjusted hours to assist with school pickup, child care, appointments, or other family needs.

Additional hours may occasionally be available.

Core Responsibilities

- General household cleaning and tidying
- Keeping bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas clean and organized




- Laundry, folding, putting clothing away, changing bedding, and managing linens
- Keeping closets, pantry, children's areas, and household storage organized
- Meal preparation and basic food preparation for the family
- Washing and preparing fruit, vegetables, and other food for the week
- Grocery shopping or grocery organization when required
- Dry cleaning drop offs and pickups
- Household errands, returns, and pickups
- Keeping household supplies stocked
- Helping reset and prepare the house for the week ahead
- Helping manage children's clothing, toys, equipment, and household items
- Light gardening and seasonal backyard tidying
- Occasional school pickup and child care support
- Providing additional household or family support during particularly busy periods

What Success Looks Like

We want someone who helps make the household feel calm, organized, and under control.

When you leave at the end of the day, the house should feel reset, laundry should be moving, food preparation should be handled, and there should be fewer household tasks waiting for the family.

We are looking for someone who thinks beyond a checklist and takes pride in helping a household run well.

You are reliable, punctual, trustworthy, discreet, and highly organized.

You take pride in your work,



are comfortable working independently, and naturally notice what needs attention.

You are comfortable around young children and ideally have previous experience as a family assistant, household manager, housekeeper, nanny, or in a similar private household role.

Child care is an occasional part of this position rather than the primary responsibility.

Strong English communication skills are required, as the role involves regular communication with our family, occasional child care, errands, and household coordination.

A valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle are strongly preferred.

First Aid and CPR certification would be considered an asset.

Strong references and a background check will be required.

Professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion are very important to us.
