Job Summary:

The Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist is responsible for leading and executing comprehensive functional and non-functional testing of public health IT systems, including iPHIS, OHISS, TIS, and Inspections Tools. This role involves developing detailed test documentation, coordinating test activities, and collaborating closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery within the public sector healthcare environment. Responsibilities:

- Perform functional and non-functional testing of healthcare systems and related tools, including integration, enhancements, and defect resolution.
- Create and maintain complete system testing documentation such as test plans, test cases, test scripts, and defect logs.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium and API testing tools.
- Analyze test results, conduct retesting, and ensure client acceptability through walkthroughs and reviews.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, and other stakeholders to establish effective test plans.
- Lead and provide guidance to junior testers, organizing and implementing testing efforts across various work streams.
- Perform security testing including components using SAML and JWT.
- Conduct accessibility testing to meet WCAG 2.0 and AODA standards.
- Validate deployment of releases in production and prepare comprehensive testing reports.
- Participate in defect triage sessions, QA meetings, and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Review business and technical documentation from a testing perspective to identify issues early in the SDLC.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- 7+ years of experience in systems testing and QA leadership within public sector healthcare IT projects.




- Robust knowledge of Public Sector Enterprise Architecture, project management methodologies (PMI), and IT project approval processes.
- Expertise in all stages of system testing including manual and automated testing, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Proficiency with testing tools such as Selenium, Rational ClearQuest, SOAP-UI, POSTMAN, Jira, Confluence, and TestRail.
- Experience with SQL and other query languages for data retrieval and ad-hoc queries.
- Knowledge of HL7-FHIR web services, APIs, and clinical/missional critical systems testing.
- Understanding of Information Management principles and SDLC phases.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work in both traditional and agile/DevOps environments.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Business Intelligence solutions testing and validation.
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and scripting languages.
- Familiarity with accessibility testing tools and compliance standards.
- Experience with security testing including SAML and JWT authentication mechanisms.
- Programming knowledge to support automated test script development.

- Work involves handling sensitive public health data requiring strict confidentiality and compliance.
- Participation in walk-throughs, triage sessions, and cross-functional team meetings is mandatory.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and shared resources such as test environments and data.

Scheduling:
- Onsite position requiring 7.25 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
- Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM excluding lunch breaks.
- Work location is at the designated OPS office.
