About the Chance

Fusion is currently seeking a full-time Technical Specialist to join the team in Calgary, AB. The preferred candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and adaptable. Please note that this position includes overseas travel for periods ranging from several weeks to several months at a time.

Primarily your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

- Sample receiving, handling, testing, and disposal requirements.
- Laboratory Analysis, including:
- Client sample testing
- Viscosity/rheological testing
- Water Analysis
- Benchtop wet chemistry
- Microbiology testing
- Corrosion testing
- Surfactant evaluations
- Compatibility testing




- Hydraulic fracturing chemical fluid program design
- QA/QC testing on finished goods
- Research projects
- Non-routine/special client projects
- New product formulations
- On-site customer support at the wellhead
- Serving as a liaison to our clients as required

Qualifications A two (2) year technical diploma in a relevant field such as petroleum engineering or chemical technician is required. A four (4) year BSc. in chemistry or engineering degree is considered an asset. A class 5 license with a clean driving record is also required.
