- The candidate will be responsible for conducting business analysis.
- The candidate will take the initiative to engage with stakeholders.
- The candidate will be responsible for gathering, preparing, and presenting data for review.
- The candidate will be responsible for drafting reports and findings.
- The candidate will be responsible for providing record management support.
- The candidate will be responsible for tracking projects and supporting project teams as needed.

Job Requirements

- The candidate must be enrolled in and yet to graduate from a recognized post‑secondary institution in Canada.
- The candidate must have solid research, analytical, project management, report writing, and presentation skills.
- The candidate must have experience and an interest in business analysis projects, as well as experience analyzing and presenting data and findings to project team members.
- The candidate must have excellent working knowledge of the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point, etc.
- The candidate must have strong organizational, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and oral,



and the ability to work efficiently, independently, and in a team environment.
- The candidate should have experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Google Charts and/or programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, which is considered an asset.
- The candidate must have strong communication skills, be highly motivated, and be results oriented.

Security and safety

- The candidate will be required to obtain background check clearance as a condition of employment at BC Hydro. This may include reference checks, education verification, employment verification, criminal record check, drivers abstract review, and a drug and alcohol test.

Work conditions

- The candidate will be required to work at the job location for the Co-Op role and will be responsible for making relocation arrangements if necessary.
- The candidate will be assigned to one of four role types that determine the degree of flexibility available to work from home based on the type of work performed.
- The candidate will work in a Field role with no option to work from home.
- The candidate will work primarily in the office, typically 4 or more days per week.
- The candidate may be able to work from home for up to 3 days per week in a Hybrid role.
- The candidate will perform their work from home for 4 or more days per week under the Remote work model.
- The candidate will learn about the utility industry and develop skills in the following areas: process improvement, data analysis and stakeholder engagement, presenting and facilitating information and findings, project management, analytical/strategic thinking, and problem solving.
