Here are the main responsibilities:Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements by:Supervising registrants (Tier 1), approving KYC updates and new accounts, and ensuring compliance policies are appliedConducting annual branch site visits, preparing reports, and following up on deficienciesReviewing activity blotters (daily, monthly, quarterly), responding to audits, and maintaining evidence of supervisory activitiesImplementing timely corrective actions and ensuring internal controls are functionalTraining advisors and support staff on policies and procedures, identifying patterns for targeted training, and recommending process improvementsFacilitating escalation processes and liaising with iA Securities departmentsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with Advisors by:Providing guidance on compliance practices and firm guidelinesAssisting advisors with new policy implementation and regulatory requirementsOffering solutions to help advisors work effectively within compliance standardsManage branch operations efficiently by:Addressing risks and operational issues promptlyFacilitating communication between advisors, support staff, and head officeLeading regular branch meetings and contributing to policy developmentPrioritizing tasks effectively to ensure smooth branch operationsWhat could accelerate your success in this roleWe’re looking for someone who:Is known for their ability to understand, analyze, and interpret regulatory legislationStands out for their excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skillsDemonstrates robust leadership and the capacity to train and support advisors and staffIs recognized for working effectively both independently and as part of a teamHas a minimum of 2 years of experience in the financial services industry and meets licensing requirements:
Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)Completion of the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH)Completion of the Branch Managers CourseCanadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) andRetail Securities Exam, Supervisor Exam
