The Senior Manager, Trade relations, Generics Portfolio Strategy reports directly to the Director, Trade relations, Generics in a role designed to help drive and execute the enterprise financial plan by delivering strategies that optimize the generic portfolio performance from an in-stock and value perspective. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the financial plan through navigating market dynamics and building supplier partnerships that drive stability and growth. The four key aspects of the role include: Financial planning and delivery, vendor portfolio relationship development, contract management as well as working with the broader pharmacy team to deliver programs that achieve financial growth targets.What You'll Do
Support negotiations with Generic Pharma partners, ensure performance and alignment through regular business reviewsIdentify and drive business development opportunities supporting product and partner selection strategyTrack market, policy shifts, and industry trends to inform commercial strategy and decision-making.Working closely with the generic vendors to ensure programs are properly running and meets all competitive and regulatory standardsSupport enterprise revenue verticals through collaboration with greater Pharmacy team.Closely manage each generic vendor’s portfolio to ensure the company is on track to deliver the planWork with internal legal and regulatory Directors to ensure programs respect legal and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (e.G., sales, supply chain, finance) to ensure pharmaceutical forecasts reflect market dynamics, product lifecycle stages, and commercial strategiesProvide strategic support for specialty products approaching loss of exclusivitySUPERVISION/LEADERSHIP

University degree in business, science or related fieldWhat You'll Need
Advanced analytical abilities with a sound knowledge of quantitative decision modelsPrevious experience or proven skills leading and working within a teamProven relationship management (both internal and external) skillsKnowledge or previous experience in the Canadian Pharmaceutical industry (Generic pharma experience preferred)Ability to manage multiple high priority initiatives with a great sense of urgencyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDetail oriented, diplomatic team player with a proactive results orientationDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and actions at all levels of the organizationSelf starter: demonstrated initiative and ability to prioritizeStrong professional presence, planning and organizational skillsDelivers results in a high-pressure environment;
able to set priorities and meet challenging deadlinesIs able to work in an almost hybrid fashion, have the required analytical skills but the capacity to move away from the numbers to communicate rationale for directives in front facing situations to all levels of management/peers and externally when requiredProficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and Access)Able to travel approximately 5-10% of the timeWhy work at Shoppers Drug Mart?
