The position is responsible for overseeing the operations of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure of multiple facilities within Co-location environments.

The Facility Manager assists in maintaining high reliability and performance while keeping operating costs in facilities at a minimum.

The supported equipment is mission-critical servers and must maintain better than 99.999% up-time.

This position will ensure Co-Location SLAs are met through the implementation of proactive issue detection and reporting in a fast-paced environment and they will need to prioritize complex problems.

The Data Center Facility Manager is also responsible to manage, train and support a team of Data Center Building Technicians and vendors in their role of providing hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and operations.

This position requires that the candidate selected obtain and maintain an active Reliability Status security clearance with the Government of Canada.

Le gestionnaire de btiment aide maintenir un haut niveau de fiabilit et de performance tout en maintenant les cots dexploitation des installations un minimum.

Les quipements supports sont des serveurs critiques et doivent maintenir un temps de disponibilit suprieur 99 999 %.





Ce poste assurera le respect des ententes sur les niveaux de service des colocalisations grce la mise en uvre de la dtection proactive des problmes et de leur signalement dans un environnement en volution rapide, en plus de prioriser les problmes complexes.

Le gestionnaire de btiment du centre de donnes est galement responsable de la gestion, de la formation et du soutien de lquipe de techniciens et de sous-traitants en btiment dans leur rle de maintenance, de dpannage et dexploitation des quipements lectriques et mcaniques.

Ce poste exige que le candidat slectionn obtienne et conserve une cote de scurit active du statut de fiabilit auprs du gouvernement du Canada. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 2+ years of people management and team development experience - 5+ years of engineering work managing large-scale services experience - Experience in people management and team development - Experience in engineering work, managing large-scale services - Experience maintaining SLAs through the implementation of proactive issue detection and reporting - Experience operating a mission-critical team or product - High school or equivalent PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of work in a management position with 5 or more direct reports experience - 5+ years of work in data centers with an emphasis on building and equipment operation experience - Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field - Knowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations including systems such as feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and CRAC units - Experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports - Experience working in data centers with an emphasis on building and equipment operation Amazon is an equal chance employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
