Koerner's Pub, on UBC Campus, is looking for a full time head line cook/kitchen supervisor to join our team as soon as possible. We are a small team based on a lively campus; who specialize in Craft Beer and delicious, tasty simple foods. We often host events such as Trivia, Music Bingo and live music etc, providing a fun, safe location for students and guests to hang out.

We are looking for someone who can work Monday-Friday, supervising the day to day operations of our back-of-house team at our Pub on UBC campus.

Shift times usually range from 10 am-11:30 pm M-F. With most weekends and stat holiday off.

Responsibilities and requirements:

- Supervising line cooks and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day business
- Responsible for prepping and cooking on line.
- Scheduling
- Training line cooks
- Ordering and inventory
- Minimizing wastage and utilizing food surpluses
- Ability to take directions and work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Practices and maintains cleanliness and sanitation standard set by the Health Department
- Cover/find cover of shifts when necessary




- Ability to stand for extended periods and be able do strenuous physical labour (lifting less than 25lb)
- Receives and stocks deliveries
- Handles all working material and equipment with the necessary care and keeps it well cleaned
- Possession of culinary and food safety certification and a minimum of 2 years cook experience (preferred)
- Demonstrates good planning and organizational skills
- Reliable, well-mannered, with the ability to multitask and work clean
- Performs other related duties as assigned
