Saw Operator – Aluminum Manufacturing

We are seeking a skilled and safety-minded Saw Operator to join our fast-paced aluminum production team.

In this role, you will be key to ensuring aluminum extrusions and products are cut to precise customer specifications. If you bring a strong mechanical aptitude, sharp attention to detail, and proven machine operating experience, this is your opportunity to drive precision and quality in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Precision Saw Operation: Safely operate, adjust, and monitor saw machinery to cut aluminum products according to work orders and customer specifications.
- Process & Speed Optimization: Balance cutting speeds, equipment calibrations, and machine performance to optimize both throughput and product finish.
- Material Management: Identify and sort distinct aluminum alloys and tempers, placing finished cuts onto designated racks.
- Quality Assurance: Utilize measuring tools to verify dimensions, cut lengths, and squareness. Inspect products for defects such as die lines, flatness variance, or off-square cuts.
- Production & Inventory Tracking: Interpret work orders accurately; assist with packaging, material handling, and tracking via production software (EPICS).
- Safety & Workplace Standards: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation in compliance with internal policies and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Experience:



Minimum 2 years of experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar industrial equipment role. Heavy manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, basic troubleshooting skills, and basic math proficiency for dimensional calculations.
- Software Asset: Previous experience using EPICS software is a strong asset.
- Communication & Detail: Strong English reading and writing abilities with high attention to dimensional accuracy and detail.
- Shift Flexibility: Comfortable working 12-hour rotating continental shifts and taking on overtime as production needs require.
