Now Hiring: Electricians — 2nd, 3rd & 4th Year Apprentices + Journeymen/Journeywomen/Foremans & Supervisors
J&D; Western Electric is a growing commercial and residential electrical contractor based in Grande Prairie, now in our third year and busier than ever. We're adding to our crew and looking for experienced apprentices (2nd, 3rd, and 4th year) and Journeyman/Journeywoman Electricians/Foremans & Supervisors who take pride in doing the job right.
We run a wide mix of work — commercial, multi-residential, and residential — so you'll build real, well-rounded experience alongside a crew that knows what they're doing. If you show up, work hard, and want to grow, there's a long runway here.
What you'll be doing:
- Rough-in, wiring, terminations, and finishing on commercial and residential projects
- Reading and working from prints and specs
- Working to the Canadian Electrical Code and Alberta standards
- Working safely and keeping the site clean and organized
- Journeymen/Journeywomen: leading tasks, mentoring apprentices, and running work with minimal supervision
What we're looking for:
- 2nd, 3rd,
or 4th year apprentice, or Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician/Foremans & Supervisors
- Registered apprentice in good standing (for apprentice roles)
- Solid hands-on experience — we care more about how you work than your exact year
- Reliable, hard-working, and a team player
- Own basic hand tools
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
