Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Garage Door Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining garage doors and related systems for residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction-related trades, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Prior experience with hand tools, schematics, blueprint reading, and various construction techniques is highly desirable. A commitment to safety and quality workmanship is essential for success in this position.

Duties

- Install, repair, and maintain garage doors, openers, and related hardware according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Use hand tools such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, and other equipment to complete installations and repairs
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects
- Perform restoration work including caulking, painting, and sealing to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal
- Conduct troubleshooting to identify issues with garage door systems and implement effective solutions
- Assist with construction projects involving carpentry, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, welding,



or construction painting as needed
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding work scope and maintenance needs

Skills

- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for installation and repair tasks
- Experience in construction trades such as carpentry, restoration, or painting is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
- Knowledge of garage door mechanisms and openers is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with caulking techniques for weatherproofing and sealing applications
- Basic understanding of plumbing or welding can be advantageous for specialized repair tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team workplace
