Job Description

We are hiring experienced Class 1 Long Combination Vehicle (LCV) Drivers for dedicated runs between Edmonton and Grande Prairie. We are looking for reliable, safety-focused professionals with a minimum of 3 years of LCV driving experience.

This position offers 4 to 5 round trips per week at $450 per completed round trip. Drivers must be comfortable operating multiple-trailer combinations and driving in changing highway and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class 1 LCV equipment on the Edmonton–Fort McMurray route.
- Complete pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections, and promptly report defects or maintenance concerns.
- Safely couple and uncouple trailers, inspecting connections, air lines and safety equipment.
- Ensure loads are properly secured and trailers are safe for transport.
- Follow applicable hours-of-service requirements, traffic laws, company safety policies and LCV operating requirements.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs, inspection reports and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate with dispatch about trip progress, delays, road conditions and equipment concerns.
- Complete pickups and deliveries safely and on schedule.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers,



dispatch and other drivers.

Required Qualifications

- Valid Class 1 driver’s licence.
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable Class 1 LCV driving experience.
- Valid LCV driver certification ( must provide LCV Certificate )
- Valid PDIC (Professional Driver Improvement Course) certificate.
- Clean 3-year Commercial Driver’s Abstract, dated within 30 days of application.
- Proven experience operating multiple-trailer combinations, such as Rocky Mountain Doubles or Turnpike Doubles.
- Strong safety record and knowledge of commercial vehicle inspections, hours of service and safe LCV operation.
- Experience driving in winter weather and challenging highway conditions.
- Ability to safely perform vehicle inspections, trailer connections and other physical duties associated with the position.
- Strong communication, time-management and problem-solving skills.
- Availability to complete 4–5 round trips per week and report in person in Edmonton.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Clean Drivers Abstract
