- 3+ years of progressive retail, branch supervisory or management experience
- 1+ year with direct responsibility for employees, scheduling and inventory accuracy
- Experience coaching employees and managing store performance
- Full availability across a 7-day retail schedule
- Able to work on your feet for extended periods and safely lift up to 40 lbs

AutoShack stores operate 7 days a week. This is a full-time leadership position typically scheduled 38–44 hours per week. Candidates must be available to work weekdays, evenings and weekends based on business needs. Limited availability cannot be accommodated for this position.

About the Role

AutoShack is hiring an experienced Assistant Store Manager to help lead the day-to-day operation of our retail store.

This is a hands-on leadership position. You will support the Store Manager, lead from the floor, coach associates and help maintain strong customer service, inventory accuracy and operating standards.

When the Store Manager is away, you will act as Manager-on-Duty and take responsibility for the store during your shift. This includes staffing coverage, shift execution and maintaining company standards.

What You’ll Do

- Lead store operations as Manager-on-Duty when assigned
- Coach associates on sales, customer service and product accuracy
- Keep customer service moving at the counter and by phone
- Monitor sales performance, AOV, warranty results and returns




- Supervise receiving, put-away and inventory accuracy
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and ensure procedures are followed
- Assign daily work and follow up on completion
- Support scheduling, coverage and labour control
- Resolve escalated customer issues professionally
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe store
- Enforce company policies, SOPs and professional standards

The formal role also requires active floor leadership, real-time coaching, SOP enforcement and adjustment of staffing coverage during peak periods.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $23.00–$25.00, based on experience

Monthly Performance Commission: Based on individual and store performance.

What We’re Looking For

We want someone who can be the Store Manager's second-in-command, not simply a senior sales associate.

You should be comfortable directing employees, coaching performance, making decisions during your shift and maintaining standards without constant supervision.

Automotive parts or technical retail experience is an asset, but not required.

- This is a physically demanding, hands-on position — not a desk-based or light-duty retail role. Employees are on their feet for most of the shift and regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, climb rolling stairs, stock shelves, receive and put away inventory, retrieve customer orders, and assist with carry-outs. AutoShack parts can be heavy and bulky, and employees routinely lift, carry, and move individual items or multiple boxes up to 40 lbs throughout the day. Candidates must be comfortable performing these duties safely and consistently in a fast-paced retail environment.
