About the Role

We are looking for a dependable, hands-on PBX technician and low-voltage specialist to join our growing Calgary team. You will install, configure, maintain, and support clients’ existing on-premises Panasonic PBX systems, including the associated legacy analog and digital devices. Panasonic-specific training can be provided, but you should bring practical experience installing, configuring, or troubleshooting comparable on-premises telephony systems and associated low-voltage technologies.

Structured cabling will be a regular part of the role. Responsibilities include installing new cable; terminating, testing, and troubleshooting copper cabling with RJ45 connectors; and installing, testing, and troubleshooting fibre-optic cabling.

What You Will Do

- Install, service, and maintain telephony hardware and software at client locations.
- Install, service and maintain communication solutions (Analog, PRI, SIP, VoIP, and UCaaS).
- Install, terminate, label, and test low voltage cabling, including Cat6, fibre, and RG6.
- Install and support CCTV, access control, intercom, security systems and related low voltage systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues independently.
- Document all service work, including job details,



equipment used and resolution steps.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendor partners to ensure successful project delivery
- Maintain a professional, customer-first approach at every interaction.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and remain motivated in the field.
- Experience with low voltage, security, telecom, networking, or related field work.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software and networking.
- Valid Alberta driver’s license and clean driving record.
- A reliable vehicle and basic tools.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to safe work practices and professional conduct on client sites.

Preferred Experience

- 2+ years of experience in low voltage, security, telecom, or structured cabling installations.
- Experience with Panasonic phone systems, including NS, TDE/TDA, and TVM.
- Experience with Avaya, Nortel, NEC or similar legacy phone systems.
- SNOM DECT cordless experience.
- Nurse call, access control, CCTV, intercom, or security system experience is an asset.
- Exposure to UCaaS platforms and cloud-based communications.
- Safety certifications such as WHMIS or Fall Protection.

Pay: $23.00-$40.00 per hour
