Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Prep Cook to support daily kitchen operations across our restaurants. This role requires strong technical skills, efficiency, and the ability to work confidently in a fast‑paced, professional kitchen.

You’ll work with high‑quality ingredients, support our chefs, and help maintain the standards Autostrada is known for.

Responsibilities

- Ingredient Preparation :Execute precise chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning of produce, meats, and seafood according to recipe and station specifications.
- Cooking Support : Assist chefs with foundational cooking tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness during service prep.
- Kitchen Organisation : Maintain a clean, organised workstation and uphold all food safety and storage procedures.
- Daily Setup & Restocking : Ensure prep areas are fully stocked, sanitized, and ready for service.
- Plating Assistance :



Support plating and presentation to meet Autostrada’s visual and quality standards.
- Team Collaboration :Work effectively with the kitchen team to maintain efficiency during busy periods.
- Health & Safety : Follow all sanitation, food handling, and workplace safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

- Professional Kitchen Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a professional, fast‑paced kitchen environment.
- Strong Prep Skills :Confident knife skills, ingredient prep accuracy, and familiarity with station organization.
- Food Safety Knowledge : Solid understanding of protected food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- High Standards: Ability to maintain consistency, follow systems, and execute prep to exact specifications.
- Team Mindset: Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication with chefs and teammates.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
