Position Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and resourceful Property Maintenance Techican to ensure the cleanliness, efficiency, and safety of our office facilities in Dartmouth, Halifax, and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a range of maintenance tasks, including small repairs, scheduling maintenance appointments, lawn maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and overseeing security measures.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules for office facilities, ensuring cleanliness, efficiency, and safety.
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to perform small repairs, maintenance tasks, and lawn care services as needed.
- Schedule and oversee maintenance appointments for HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other building infrastructure.
- Conduct regular inspections of office facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and cleanliness issues, taking appropriate action to address them promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, implementing measures to promote a safe and secure work environment for employees and visitors.
- Manage office security measures, including access control systems, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems, to protect company assets and property.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs,



and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance-related concerns and support office operations effectively.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or training in facilities management or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in office maintenance or facilities management, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance principles and practices, including small repairs, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with employees, contractors, and vendors.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance and facilities management.
- Proficiency in Google Workplace and maintenance management software.
- Valid driver's license is required.
