We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing inventory, operating forklift in lumber yard, and ensuring smooth order fulfillment processes. This role offers an opportunity to work in an environment where mechanical knowledge and safety are paramount. Candidates should be comfortable with heavy lifting and possess a strong attention to detail to support our distribution operations.

Duties

- Operate warehouse equipment including skidsteers, forklifts, and order pickers safely and efficiently.
- Experience operating RTF200 forklift
- Manage inventory ensuring accurate order picking and stock levels.
- Order fulfillment by picking and preparing products for shipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work workplace to promote safety and efficiency.




- Support yard management in implementing process improvements related to order picking and inventory control.

Experience

- Prior experience in lumber yard or similar surrounding is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating forklifts, and other Mill site equipment is highly desirable.
- Experience with order picker operations and order picking processes is advantageous.
- Basic math skills are necessary for counting, measuring, and verifying orders accurately.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently throughout the shift.
- Previous experience working in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail is beneficial. This position requires candidates to be dependable team players with a focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy in all tasks performed within the environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
