Estimator – General Contractor (10+ Years Experience)

We are hiring a Senior Estimator with 10+ years of experience in the construction industry, specifically working for a general contractor. This role is ideal for an estimator who excels at preparing bids, reading drawings and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, and building accurate project schedules.

⭐ Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed, competitive construction bids for commercial and industrial projects
- Build and maintain project schedules using industry‑standard tools
- Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Perform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and pricing breakdowns
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing
- Review tender documents, identify risks, clarifications, and exclusions
- Maintain organized proposal documents, templates, and submission records
- Track deadlines and ensure timely, complete bid submissions

⭐ Required Experience & Skills





- 10+ years’ experience as an Estimator for a general contractor
- Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and blueprints
- Proven experience preparing accurate, competitive bids
- Ability to develop and manage construction schedules
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Strong reading, writing, and proof‑reading skills
