Neegan Technical Services (NTS) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Core Handler to join our team. The Core Handler will be responsible for the safe handling, preparation, processing, and organization of core and other geological samples.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, weigh, label, and prepare core and other samples for processing.
- Wash core and tailing samples using established procedures and chemicals.
- Wash and maintain Nalgene bottles, glass jars, and other laboratory containers.
- Grind, sieve, and riffle dried samples as required.
- Operate equipment such as centrifuges, paint shakers, and other sample-processing equipment.
- Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Accurately record and enter sample and test information into computer systems.
- Maintain organized sample areas and restock supplies as required.
- Safely handle, store, and dispose of chemicals and other materials.
- Follow SDS instructions, WHMIS requirements, and all company safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.




- Wear all required PPE and follow emergency and spill-response procedures.
- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Previous experience in a laboratory, core processing, mining, or industrial environment is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Comfortable performing hands-on and repetitive physical work.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to safely work with chemicals and laboratory equipment.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- WHMIS training is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
