Purpose

The role of operating our install units is to work directly with a supervisor and swamper to install screw piles around Fort McMurray. The work ranges from large oilsands major projects, pipelines, commercial, and residential.

Duties

- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate work activities and ensure project timelines are met.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and reporting any mechanical issues.




- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and your team.
- Utilize excavator install units, loaders, and skid steers for various construction tasks as required.

Experience

- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is essential.
- 5+ years excavator experience is mandatory
- Familiarity with loader operation, and skid steer operation is mandatory.
- Experience in commercial driving is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand construction plans is a beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license and a cell phone is required

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

- High School Diploma
- Alberta Class 5 (or higher) driver’s license, driving abstract that contains no more than 5 demerit points and 1 collision
- CSTS 09 or CSTS 2020 (All other training after this will be supplied and paid for by McMurray Piling

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Sitting and standing for extended periods of time
- Travelling away from home for extended periods of time unless you are from Fort McMurray then you are home every night.
- Repetitive tasks and duties
- Working conditions contingent on weather

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
