Wellhead Service Technician

True Canadian Energy is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Wellhead Service Technician to support our growing operations in the thermal oilfield market. This position involves working directly at customer sites, performing wellhead installation, maintenance, repair, and service activities for some of Canada's leading energy producers.

Position Summary

The Wellhead Service Technician will be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of wellhead equipment in the field. The successful candidate will work closely with customers to ensure equipment is installed and serviced safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and industry standards.

Responsibilities

- Build, assemble, and install wellhead equipment at customer locations.
- Perform valve replacements, maintenance, and repairs on thermal wellhead systems.
- Torque wellhead and pressure-containing equipment to specified requirements.
- Grease and maintain valves and wellhead components to ensure reliable operation.
- Inspect equipment and identify repair or maintenance requirements.
- Support wellhead change-outs, upgrades, and shutdown activities.
- Complete field service reports and documentation accurately and promptly.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and service equipment.
- Ensure compliance with customer site requirements, company procedures, and all safety regulations.
- Provide professional customer service and represent True Canadian Energy in the field.

Qualifications

- Experience working with wellheads, valves, or pressure-containing oilfield equipment.




- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Experience using hydraulic torque equipment and understanding torque specifications.
- Knowledge of thermal operations and SAGD wellhead systems is considered an asset.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently in remote field locations.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and handle equipment and work in various weather conditions.

- H2S Alive
- Standard First Aid/CPR
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- Valid Driver's Abstract
