Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Ranch Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the daily operations of the ranch as directed by the farm manager. This role requires some physical stamina, a willingness to learn, and a passion for working with livestock and equipment. Our cattle are quiet and mostly purebred. We do not use horses or cattle dogs.

Duties

- Perform manual labor as needed to support ranch operations.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment when necessary.
- Use hand tools and power tools for various maintenance tasks around the ranch.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Participate in planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops as required.
- Monitor livestock health and assist with feeding, watering, and caring for animals.
- Keep accurate records related to daily tasks,



including maintenance schedules and crop yields.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills:

- Experience with beef cattle is a definite asset.
- Familiarity with farm machinery operation is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment is advantageous.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with repairs is beneficial.
- Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely.
- Ability to perform basic math for record keeping and measurements is required.

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Experience:

- cattle handling/calving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- class 5 driver license minimum (required)
